Lithium hydride technology of monosilane production
The technology is based on the method of monosilane producing from silicon tetrachloride through interaction with lithium hydride. The method is novel is new regarding its realization
Advantage:
- recycling of the products formed such as lithium chloride and unreacted chlorosilanes
- increased environmental safety
- utilization of silicon tetrachloride accumulated in trichlorosilane-based manufacture of polycrystalline silicon, to yield monosilane or trichlorosilane
- the cost price of monosilane is an order of magnitude lower than for known methods
